Substitute for photos

It has been a very interesting week. Because of all the craziness i never got around to taking pictures of my outfits. In leu of photos i used polyvore to create my outfits. They aren't exactly what i wore but they will give you an idea of what they looked like. Enjoy the slideshow and feel free to go over to polyvore to see where these items are from.

Oh just so you know i don't pay over $40 for any single item. So if you go to polyvore and the price is high, it isn't the actual item i wore.

What i actually wore:
Monday...Blazer: Charlotte Russe, Necklace: Forever 21
Tuesday Morning...Blazer: Charlotte Russe, Dress: Old Navy, Shoes (were black not bronze)
Tuesday Night... Completely Accurate
Wednesday...Sweater: Old Navy (and had a flower detail), Blouse: Macys (had cap sleeve and belted waist)
Thursday...Sweater: Target Mossimo, Tshirt: Target, Necklace: Gift (and i know it didn't cost as much as the one shown)

Fashion Friday: Wear it more than once

Versatility in clothing is so important. When shopping for clothes it's important to choose items that can be worn with so many different things. Here is how i styled one top.

Getting Inspiration

Sometimes figuring out a new way of wearing certain clothing items can be difficult.
I know i get stuck in wearing things the same way every time.
I also put together my outfits in the same style.
Basically it can be hard to mix things up.

So how can you get out of that habit?
-see how they style their outfit and get ideas from them
2. Go on pinterest and look through the "womens apparel" section
-it is a wonderful way of seeing how other women style themselves
-try to find outfits with similar pieces to what you already own
3. Look to polyvore for styling advice.
-they have a section where you can ask how to style an outfit or what you can wear with a certain article of clothing or what to wear for a certain occasion.

I use blogs and pinterest most when it comes to fashion inspiration.
Current inspiration pictures and the similar items i own:

Kate Spade on a Budget

I love Kate Spade, but who can honestly spend over $400 dollars on a cute dress.
I surely can't.
The key to getting the "kate spade look" is knowing the key elements of the clothing.
Color, Stripes, Color blocking, and Bows
If you can find those elements in a dress, you can accomplish the kate spade look.
